Whispering Pines Golf Club

Trinity, Texas

Carved from 660 acres of East Texas pine forest, Whispering Pines is regularly ranked the number-one course in Texas. The 7,480-yard layout features zoysia fairways and Bermuda greens with tournament-caliber conditioning, bounded by creeks and lakes that force dramatic carries.

History & Heritage

Whispering Pines Golf Club was the vision of Corby Robertson, who commissioned Chet Williams of the Nicklaus Design Group to build the best course in Texas on a 450-acre property along Lake Livingston in Trinity, Texas. The course opened in March 2000 and was ranked number one in Texas by Golf Digest for twelve consecutive years. In 2018 Williams oversaw an extensive reconstruction.
