Dallas National Golf Club

Dallas National Golf Club opened in 2002 as a Tom Fazio design on rolling terrain south of Dallas. Developer and owner David Graham envisioned creating the finest private golf experience in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and Fazio delivered a layout that immediately earned elite status. The course was built on a property with significant natural elevation change, unusual for North Texas, which Fazio enhanced with his signature bold shaping and immaculate attention to detail.

The club quickly rose to the top of Texas golf rankings and established itself as one of the premier private clubs in the entire Southwest. Every hole has been described as a signature hole, with Fazio's trademark sculpted bunkers defining the immaculate zoysia fairways. The natural appearance of the course belies the extensive earthmoving and shaping that went into its creation.

Dallas National has maintained its position at the top of DFW golf through relentless conditioning standards and an exclusive membership that values the quality of the golf experience above all else. The course is consistently ranked in the top 100 in America and remains the standard by which all other DFW private clubs are measured.

Dallas National is a pristine, immaculately conditioned Tom Fazio design that feels more like Augusta National than a typical Texas course. The zoysia fairways are emerald green year-round, the bunkers are perfectly maintained, and the overall presentation is exceptional. At 7,335 yards from the tips with a par of 72, the course is a serious test but plays fair from the appropriate tees. The generous fairways on most holes allow players to swing freely, but the green complexes demand precise approach play. The four par 3s are a particular strength of the design, each memorable and demanding.

While the fairways are generally generous, approach shots require precision. Fazio's greens feature subtle contours and firm surfaces that reject shots missing on the wrong side. Hitting to the correct quadrant of the green is essential for birdie opportunities.

The par 3s are a highlight and collectively one of the best sets of short holes in Texas. Take enough club to reach the center of each green rather than short-siding yourself in Fazio's deep bunkers.
